Terms of service
Effective 1 October 2026.
These terms are an agreement between you, or the organisation you represent (“Customer”, “you”), and Altix Code Ltd, a company incorporated in and governed by the law of the Republic of Cyprus (“Altix”, “we”), governing your use of CrashPatch (the “Service”). By creating an account, you accept these terms. If you are creating an account on behalf of an organisation, you confirm you have authority to bind that organisation, and “you” in these terms means that organisation.
1. The Service
CrashPatch receives crash reports from your application (via a Sentry-compatible SDK), groups them into issues, and, for projects where you enable it, reads the relevant source from a GitHub repository you connect and uses an AI model to propose a fix as a draft pull request. CrashPatch never merges a pull request, never writes to your default branch, and never closes an issue in your repository on your behalf — every proposed change is for a human on your team to review and decide on. Plans, limits, and pricing are described at /pricing and may change on reasonable notice as described in section 6.
2. Connecting a repository and enabling triage
- Connecting a repository installs the CrashPatch GitHub App, granting us read access to its contents, write access to create branches and commits, and read/write access to pull requests, for as long as the repository stays connected or until you uninstall the App or delete your account.
- You represent and warrant that you own the repository you connect, or have the authority and all necessary rights to grant CrashPatch the access above and to permit its source code to be disclosed to our AI sub-processor as described in section 3 and in our Privacy Policy. Do not connect a repository containing code you are not permitted to share with a third party — including code subject to a client or employer NDA, or containing another party’s proprietary material.
- Triage — reading source files for an issue and sending them to the AI model — is disabled by default for every project and is a separate, explicit choice from simply connecting a repository. You may turn it off at any time, which stops any further code from being sent, without affecting crash ingestion.
- Patch suggestions are generated by an AI model and are offered as-is. You are solely responsible for reviewing, testing, and deciding whether to merge any pull request CrashPatch opens; we make no representation that a suggested patch is correct, complete, or safe to deploy.
3. AI processing and sub-processors
Where you enable triage, crash details and the specific source files involved are sent to a large language model, served by Anthropic (directly, or via OpenRouter as an intermediary, depending on how your instance is configured) — a sub-processor located in the United States. This is an international transfer of your source code, covered by Standard Contractual Clauses or an equivalent safeguard, and is described in full in our Privacy Policy, which you should read before connecting a repository. We do not store the source files read for triage beyond the single request they were read for.
4. Accounts, organisations and team members
- You must provide accurate information when creating an account, and keep your credentials and API keys confidential. You are responsible for all activity under your account.
- An account may be shared by an organisation. The person who creates it is its first Owner. Owners and Admins may invite other people as team members and assign them a role (Owner, Admin, or Member), each with different permissions inside the Service.
- The Customer organisation is responsible for the conduct of every team member it adds, for ensuring it has the right to add them, and for removing access promptly when it is no longer appropriate (for example, when someone leaves the organisation).
- At least one Owner must exist on every account at all times; the Service will not let the last Owner be removed or demoted. Only an Owner may manage billing or delete the account.
- We log security-relevant account actions — invitations, role changes, removals, and deletion — in an audit trail visible to Owners and Admins.
5. Acceptable use
You agree not to use the Service to:
- Connect a repository you do not own or are not authorised to grant us access to, or one containing code you are not permitted to disclose to a third party.
- Send us, via a crash report, source code, or otherwise, any personal data of your users or any data you are not legally entitled to share, beyond what is incidentally present in your own application’s error output.
- Attempt to use the Service to generate malicious code, or to probe, scan, or bypass the security of the Service or of GitHub repositories you do not control.
- Resell or sublicense access to the Service without our written permission, or exceed the rate and volume limits of your plan in a way intended to circumvent them.
- Violate any applicable law in your use of the Service.
We may suspend or terminate an account that breaches this section, with notice where practicable.
6. Subscriptions, billing and taxes
- Paid plans are billed in advance on a recurring monthly basis through Stripe, and renew automatically until cancelled.
- You can cancel at any time from the billing page; cancellation takes effect at the end of the current billing period, and you keep access until then. We do not provide partial-period refunds except where required by law.
- Fees are exclusive of taxes unless stated otherwise; you are responsible for any VAT or other tax applicable to your use of the Service, which Stripe may calculate and add to your invoice.
- If a payment fails and is not resolved, we may suspend triage on your account until it is resolved; crash ingestion is never stopped for non-payment, only AI-driven triage.
- Invoices for amounts paid are issued through our internal invoicing system and are retained independently of your CrashPatch account for as long as our accounting and tax obligations require.
7. Changes to the Service and these terms
We may update these terms or the Service from time to time. For a material change, we will notify account Owners by email at least 14 days before it takes effect, except where a change is required sooner for legal or security reasons. Continuing to use the Service after a change takes effect is acceptance of it; if you do not agree, you may cancel and delete your account before it takes effect.
8. Termination and deletion
- You may delete your account at any time from Settings. This immediately cancels any subscription, revokes our GitHub App’s installation on every connected repository, permanently deletes your projects, issues, source maps and patch history, and removes every team member’s access. It cannot be undone.
- We may suspend or terminate your account for breach of section 5, for non-payment that remains unresolved after reasonable notice, or if required to do so by law.
- Sections that by their nature should survive termination do — including sections 3 (to the extent data still exists), 9, 10, 11, and 14.
9. Disclaimer of warranties
The Service is provided “as is” and “as available.” To the maximum extent permitted by law, we disclaim all warranties, express or implied, including fitness for a particular purpose and non-infringement. We do not warrant that the Service will be uninterrupted or error-free, that every crash will be correctly grouped, or — most importantly — that any AI-generated patch suggestion will be correct, complete, secure, or safe to merge. Every patch is a draft for human review, never a merge performed on your behalf.
10. Limitation of liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, Altix’s total liability arising out of or relating to the Service will not exceed the amount you paid us in the 12 months before the claim arose, and Altix will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or for loss of profits, revenue, data, or goodwill — including any arising from merging a patch suggestion the Service proposed. Nothing in these terms limits liability that cannot be limited under applicable law, including liability for death, personal injury, or fraud.
11. Indemnification
You agree to indemnify and hold Altix harmless from any claim arising from your breach of section 5 (acceptable use), or from connecting a repository you did not have the right to grant us access to or to disclose to our AI sub-processor.
12. Intellectual property
Altix owns all rights in the Service, excluding your own code, data and content. You retain all rights in the code you connect and in any patch, once merged, that becomes part of your repository. We grant you a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable right to use the Service during your subscription, for your own internal business purposes.
13. Governing law and disputes
These terms are governed by the laws of the Republic of Cyprus, without regard to its conflict-of-laws rules. The courts of Cyprus have exclusive jurisdiction over any dispute arising from these terms or the Service, except where mandatory consumer protection law gives you the right to bring a claim in your own country of residence.
14. General
- If any provision of these terms is found unenforceable, the rest remain in effect.
- These terms, together with our Privacy Policy, are the entire agreement between you and Altix regarding the Service.
- You may not assign these terms without our consent; we may assign them in connection with a merger, acquisition, or sale of assets.
- A failure to enforce any right under these terms is not a waiver of it.
